Show NEWS FROM PARAGONAH Mrt. Hilma Lamoreaux Mrs. Zelma Robb, Primary president pre-sident announces that tie organization or-ganization will hold its annual "Primary Family Hour" program Sunday evening May 3rd at 7:30 o'clock, in the Ward Chapel. All Primary age children will participate partici-pate in the program and everyone every-one is invited to attend. On Tuesday, May 5th there will be a bazaar held at the regular reg-ular Primary Hour. Many attractive at-tractive and useful items will be for sale. There will be a fish pond for the children and various baked goods ,candy, articles arti-cles suitable for Mother's Day gifts. The Primary officers will appreciate the support of the townspeople in this fund raising effort. Mrs. Annabclle Lister has been spending considerable time in Beaver. Her father, Arnold Parkinson Par-kinson is in poor health. Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Stones left for a trip to Texas last week end. They departed Friday evening by air to attend a school board convention con-vention at Houston, Tex., and returned Wednesday. Mrs. Gertrude Ger-trude Benson of Parowan is here this week to take care of the Post Office business. A number of Paragonah young people attended the MIA Youth Conference in Cedar City on Saturday. Sat-urday. Mrs. Idella Robinson and Miss Helen Stones accompanied the girls and Mr. James Taylor and Clark Lamoreaux took the boys. Mrs. Idella Robinson traveled to Cedar City Monday to spend the day with her daughter, Mrs. Donna Jolley who was celebrating celebrat-ing her birthday. Two young fellows from the Church Building Service arrived in town Tuesday of last week to assist with the Ward Building project. The young men are Paul Brown and Gary Harrison and both are from a rural area near Kingston, North Carolina. This is their first assignment on their mission and they flew from their homes to Salt Lake City and were brought to Paragonah by a member of the Church building committee. At present they are making their home with Bishop and Mrs. Boyd Robinson. Mrs. Maxine Barton of Milford was in town Thursday of last week accompanied by her son, Leslie, of Caliente and her daughter, Mrs. Marie Bradshaw of Monterey, Calif. They visited with the Ivan Robb and Wilson Lund families . Merrill Maxwell of Toquerville was in town Sunday to visit with his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Maxwell Max-well and the Wilson Lunds Mrs. Irene Robinson ente ' the hospital in Cedar City Thi. She had surgery following an attack of acute appendicitis. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Jones became be-came proud first-time-parents Saturday when a baby girl was born to them at the Valley View Medical Center In Cedar City. Recent visitors at the Iras Jones home were Mr. and Mrs. Chester Henrle and Mrs. Belle Cooper of Panguitch. Max Robinson was here from his work at Las Vegas all last week. He visited with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Robinson Robin-son and also traveled to Salt Lake City for his pre-induction physical examination. Mrs. Gaytha Benson and their daughters, Gay Lynn and Kath-ryn, Kath-ryn, were hero from Beaver Saturday Sat-urday to visit with the Joe Lamoreaux La-moreaux family and relatives in Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Norton of Marysvale were In town Sunday to spend the day with Mrs. Eliza Norton and the Orlo Tophams. During the day Mrs. Topham enjoyed en-joyed a trip to Escalante to see relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Im-lay. Im-lay. She traveled there with Mr. and Mrs. Orland Davis of Cedar City. Mrs. Iras Jones and son, Warren War-ren Smith, traveled to Salt Lake City the week end of April 18th in order for Iras to keep an appointment ap-pointment with her physician. They stayed overnight with the Dale Smith family of Murray. Mrs. Ruth Henrie of Panguitch visited here Wednesday of last week with Mrs. Iras Jones and Mrs. Eva Bell. Mrs. Alda Robinson entered the Valley View Medical Center Mon- day for surgery which was sched-1 uled for Tuesday. Mrs. Nina Robb arrived home Monday after more than a week in the hospital for surgery. j Miss Connie Dunton was taken to the hospital Saturday for special spe-cial treatment. She was released to come home Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. Top-ham Top-ham traveled to Panguitch Sunday Sun-day to visit Pauline's father, Mr. Joseph Miller, and help him celebrate his birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Lamoreaux and son, Orval, of St. George arrived ar-rived here Tuesday of last week to spend some time with the Chester Robinsons. Orval returned return-ed to St. George on Thursday. Kathy and Larry Robinson of Parowan visited here overnight Monday with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Revere Robinson. |
