Show Family Dinner Honors Peter H. Gurr On 83rd Anniversary A dinner party, honoring Peter H. Gurr on his 83th birthday was held at the hom-i of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Guymon at P.nowan on Friday Fri-day evening, April 17. Mr. Gurr and his late wife, Grace Oliphant Gurr, are the parents par-ents of 13 children, and seven of the eight which are living were in attendance at the dinner to honor him. Mr. Gurr with his present wife Elfreida Thompson Gurr, are ordinance or-dinance workers in the St. George LDS Temple. Those in attendance besides Mr. and Mrs. Jess (Golda) Guymon, Guy-mon, were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Gurr, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Gurr, Mr. and Mrs. Kendall Gurr, Parowan; Par-owan; Mr. and Mrs. Durrel (Hal Corry,, Mrs. C. J. (Gail) Parry, Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Heber Gurr, Beaver. Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Arns Cedar City. Mr. and Mre. J. Murray (Anna) Rawson of Orem, and a son-in-law, C. J. Parry of Cedar City, were unable to attend. Mr. Gurr has 41 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. A beautiful birthday cake was that their son, Ray, had been made by Mrs. Corry of Cedar City for the occasion. |
