Show College of Southern Utah Division Of Family Living Receives Gift of Furniture Under the new program being instigated at College of Southern Utah, the Management Home in the Division of Family Living has received a set of Drexel bedroom furniture and the services of a decorating consultant from Leigh Furniture Co., of Cedar City. The French Provincial set consists of a bed, two night stands and a triple dresser and mirror in an- I tique white, The bedroom reserved for the j new furniture is finished in a I light turquoise blue. Colors have been selected with the assistance of Mrs. Francis Holyoak, Interior decoration specialist. The gift represents re-presents a most valuable contribution contri-bution to the project of providing furnishings for the Management Home, according to Mrs. Ada Carpenter, head of the CSU Family Fa-mily Living Department. The former Stanley Bradshaw home is being redecorated and furnished as a training laboratory labora-tory for students majoring in Family Fa-mily Living and other areas. Under Un-der the direction of Miss Alida Von Gronigen, students will live in the unit and study all phases of home management In relation to expenditure of time, energy and finances. Lessons will deal with different income levels to give students an opportunity to prepare budgets and learn to run a home efficiently under as many circumstances and conditions as possible. Each student will have occasion to assume a variety of management roles during the course. |
