Show Sheldon R. Brewster Seeks Governorship Sheldon R. Brewster, 58, speaker speak-er of the Utah House of Representatives, Repre-sentatives, has announced he would seek the Democratic nomination nom-ination for governor. Sheldon R. Brewster In his formal announcement of candidacy, speaker Brewster said his close contact with state government gov-ernment over the past 22 years had convinced him that continuation continu-ation of present trend would lead to real trouble. "While it is true that certain people are demanding more services ser-vices from government and increased in-creased spending," he said, "I am convinced that the vast majority ma-jority of citizens want a decrease In their oppressive tax load, even If It means a decrease in some services. As a legislator, I have always opposed any Increase In taxes."
