Show Paragonah Couple Exchange Vows In Home Ceremony By Hilma Lamoreaux Miss L o v e n a Christensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Barton, became the bride of Mr. Wayne Bettridge, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Bettridge, In a home wedding ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 23. Stake President Howard D. Knight officiated at the ceremony cere-mony dn the presence olj close friends and family members. After the wedding the couple were feted at a reception held in the school auditorium. The bride was lovely In a dress of white dacron with flowers design. It was fashioned with a tight waist, full skirt and a jacket with high collar and long sleeves. Her veil fell from a jeweled crown and she carried a bouquet of pink rose buds. Attendants were Miss Carol Ann Hardy of St. George, cousin cou-sin of the bride, vho was maid of honor, and the following bridesmaids: Shirlene Talbot, Sharlett Bettridge, June Parkinson Parkin-son and Helen Decker. All wore pastel dresses accented wlh red rose corsages. Dale Bettridge attended his brother as best man and parents par-ents of both young people assisted as-sisted at receiving the many guests. D. Amasa Stones was master of ceremonies for an Interesting program which Included the fol-owing fol-owing numbers: a tap dance by La Rae and Mina Lamoreaux, vocal solos by Miss Afton Benson Ben-son who played her own gu'.tar 'icompanlment; a reading by Jean Hendrickson; guitar selections selec-tions by Miss Brenda Bentley and Steven Mackelprang, and a saxophone solo by Mrs. Hazel Jean Robinson, accompanied by Mrs. Wilma Lamoreaux. Following the program refresh-ments refresh-ments were served and dancing was ciijOjcw. In charge of the gifts were Mrs. Pansy Hardy, Mrs. Delia Weber and the Misses Patsy Top-ham Top-ham and Mildred Hunt Relatives present in addition to those already moUloned were Mrs. Parley Leavitt, Mesquite, Nev., grandmother of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Leavitt and Gerald Leavitt. North Las Vegas; Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Walker, Pan-quitch; Pan-quitch; Mrs. Minnie Anderson, Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Dally, Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Taylor Tay-lor and members of their family, Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Bettridge are now at home in Parowan. |
