Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING By Nola Kupfer - ., Bl plans are being made by the new officers of Kiwani-Anns under the direction of President Nelda Jones. The outgoing officers offi-cers will be honored ac an oriental orien-tal dinner staged at the home of Mrs. Rymal Williams, Thursday, Thurs-day, Feb. 4 at 8 p. m. All Kiwani-Anns and their guests are invited and asked to reserve Feb. 4 for this outstanding social affair. af-fair. Entertaining Wei Ak Avl club members on Thursday afternoon j was Mrs. Lanell Lunt. "Traditions "Tradi-tions of India" was the threme of the program presented by Mrs. L. C. Miles and Mrs. Kumen L. Jones. Exerpts from the life of Ghandl taken from the writings "Fight without a Sword," by Jeanette Eaton were effectively given by Mrs. Wiles after which Mrs. Jones reviewed portions from an article written by San-tha San-tha Rama Roue. The author, who was the daughter of a diplomat serving in Africa, returns to India In-dia and tells of her experiences in her native land. The reports gave the ladles present an interesting inter-esting and authentic insight to the life and culture of the people peo-ple of India. From a beautiful buffet table accented by a lovely love-ly floral arrangement of white carnations and candelabra delicious deli-cious treats were served by the hostess to complete the socal and cultural afternoon. Entertaining members of the H. and H. Club was Mrs. Glen Froyd. The ladies met at the Troyd hon.e on Thursday evening eve-ning for a most Interesting: fete. Program guest, Mrs. Lilliam Clark, Introduced her daughter. Virginia Webster, wlio reviewed the book, "Th Pih Road 'Tome," by Melissa Maiher, a human hu-man interest storv written by Mm. Mather about her life on a Vermont farm following the death of her husband. The lad- found the autobiography one of great Interest and very well given by Mrs. Webster. A delicious deli-cious luncheon was later served by the hostess. |
