Show Rams Come Out Even in Close Week End Games The Parowan high school basketball team split even in two games played last week end, dropping the first one and win ning the second in a last quarter quar-ter drive. Coach Bruce Decker's Rams traveled to Panaca on Friday Fri-day night where they dropped a close one to the Lincoln County high school by a 58 to 56 score for their first loss of the season. On Saturday night the Rams managed to pull an exciting game with the Cedar City high Redmen out of the fire by a 56 to 51 score after trailing during the first three quarters. They were behind as much as 15 points at times during the game but managed to score 23 points in the final canto to eight for the Red-men Red-men to come out ahead. This week end the Rams take part in a tournament in which they meet Springville, one of the teams they beat in last March's Class B tournament, and Cyprus, the team which dropped them from that tournament. Friday night Parowan plays Springville and Cedar plays Cyprus Cy-prus on the Parowan floor with the games to start at 7:30. Tickets Tic-kets for the two games will be $1.00 for adults and 35c for students stu-dents it is announced by Max Dalley, principal. Saturday night the Iron County teams reverse opponents and playing floors, with the Rams playing Cyprus and Cedar playing Springville on the C S U fieldhouse floor. |
