Show Utah Educator To Address Cedar Graduates . "i Dr. O. Meredith Wilson, dean of the school of Arts and Sciences at the University of Utah, will address the 1950 graduates of the Cedar City high school at Commencement exercises Tuesday, Tues-day, May 23. according to Prin. Fratt M." Bothers. Commencement exercises for 'ht 80 senior students at the fvhool will begin at 8 p. m. Tuesday in the public school nditorium. Dr. Wilson received his education edu-cation in Utah schools, receiving his A. B. degree from the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University in 1934. He did graduate work at the University of London, University vl Heidelberg, and received his Ph.D. from the University of California Cali-fornia in 1943. In 1944 he became be-came assistant professor of history his-tory at the University of Chicago, ond in 1916 he was appointed associate as-sociate dean of the college. In 1947, he became associate professor profes-sor of history there. On July 1, 1947, Dr. Wilson was ri. pointed Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at the University Univer-sity of Utah with the rank of professor of history. He is a member of the American Ameri-can Historical Society, Phi Beta Kappa fraternity, and during 1950, he is serving as chairman f.f the University of Utah Centennial Cen-tennial committee.
