Show 15. A. C. Construction' Doubles Student Housing Capacity Housiag shortage, long an obstacle ob-stacle to Increased enrollment at the Branch Agricultural College, L rapidly being overcome with the construction of dormitory facilities ( ti Kie college canipus. For the pa t several years living quarters j on the campus have been provided I for about fifty girls and fifty boys, ' but this proved entirely inadequate i in recent years, and new dormitory dorm-itory f acuities a;e being added ns rapidly as possible. Dormitory facilities being added at the present time will more than double the housing for both boys and girls at the college, and this together with the installation of a trailer camp this year will provide housing on the campus for approximately approx-imately 250 students. The boys' dormitory capacity ls being doubled by the installation of two buildings moved to the campus cam-pus from Topaz, war Japanese relocation re-location center near Delta. The two building were moved to Cedar Citv during ttie past week, and are now being repaired and redecorated. They are located Immediately West of the old dormitory. A new addition to the girls dormitory dorm-itory has been under construction for the past several months and is now rapidly nearlng completion. This will more than double the capacity of the dormitory. A new cafeteria ls also to be located lo-cated on the campus, between the girls dormitory and the science building, which will increase the housing capacity at the school by eliminating the need for kitchens in the new dormitory units. This building is also being moved from Topax and is reported to be large enough to provide ample cafeteria facilities for a much larger enrollment enroll-ment than the school now enjoys. |
