Show Conoco Distributors Gather In Cedar City For Advertising Meet Continental Oil Company held an advertising meeting at the El Es-calante Es-calante Hotel last Wednesday night to present to the company's marketers mar-keters In this' territory Continental'! Continen-tal'! advertising and merchandising plans for 1947. Conducting the meeting was A. T. Farrell, Assistant Division Manager, Manag-er, Olen S. Powell, Marketing Rep-resentatlve Rep-resentatlve of Salt Lake City, and O. D. McOarry; District Sales Representative. Rep-resentative. Guests at the meeting saw special spe-cial promotional material on Cono-co's Cono-co's outstanding travel guide, the Touralde, a profusely illustrated handbook of marked routes and comprehensive com-prehensive travel information. The Touralde is individually "tailor-made" "tailor-made" for each motorist upon his application to any Conoco Mileage Merchant throughout the country. Also presented at the meeting was the company's 1947 poster campaign, cam-paign, which has been prepared to tie-in with Continental's extensive newspaper campaign advertising Conoco Co-noco NITane Gasoline and Conoco Nth Motor Oil. Continental is one of the leaders in the oil Industry in newspaper advertising, and the largest single item in the advertising advertis-ing budget Is allocated to newspapers newspap-ers this year.
