Show New Teachers Added to Iron County School Staff Four new teachers have been added to the Iron County School staff, announces Superintendent Ianthus Wright The new teach, ers have been assigned to positions po-sitions in Kanarra, Modena, Lund and Parowan. Mrs. Edna L. Maughan, wife of Dr. Reese P. Maughan, head of the Branch Agricultural College Col-lege school of education, will teach in the Kanarra 'school, handling the first to fourth grades of the school. She is an experienced teacher. Mrs. Minnie Orton of Parowan, Paro-wan, who has taught in the schools in Hurricane for the past four years, has accepted the teaching assignment at the school at Lund. Rex Hulet of Summit, brother of Oscar J. Hulet, principal of the Cedar City Elementary school will teach at Modena this winter. win-ter. He graduated from the Arizona Ari-zona State Teachers College last spring with a major in education. educa-tion. Lowell R. Jackson, a graduate of Duke University with a major in English and a minor in speech has accepted a position in the Parowan high school. He will replace George W. Elliott who recently resigned because of ill-ness. ill-ness. Mr. Jackson, who is an ex-service ex-service man, taught in the Pan-guitch Pan-guitch high school last year. |
