Show Karl Kenney Wins F.F. A. Scholarship From Union Pacific Karl Kenney, son of B. Glen Kenney of Cedar City, has been awarded a scholarship by the Union Pacific Railroad company on the basis of scholastic merit and extra-curricular activities, according to word received 'from Elmer Cox, agricultural advisor at Cedar High school. The award was judged partly on Kenney's supervised farming program. He has been quite active ac-tive in this for two years, and according to Mr. Cox, has finished fin-ished off some very good steers. He is now running and expanding expand-ing his farm. The younger Kenney can ap. ply the $100 scholarship towards school at either the Branch Agricultural Ag-ricultural college at the USAC at Logan. Kenney, who is Just turning 18, is a senior in high school and has been' very active in school affairs. He is president of the local chapter of the Future farm-ers farm-ers of America this year, and has held office as the club sentinel. He is also Boy's club president |
