Show Panel Discussions on World Problems Given by Visiting Savants Presenting a panel discussion of "An Approach to One World" In the public school auditorium Monday night, six University of Utah professors pointed out that there is a quality in human beings be-ings that make them want to better themselves, and as a result, re-sult, an approach to one world might be worked out. The group pointed out that the question of whether or not one ha:: a choice to become part of one world no longer exists. There already is "one world" and we all must learn to live in It. All on the political science staff of the University of Utah, the group consisted of Dr. G. Homer Durham, Dr. O. Merldlth Wilson. Dr. O. Charles Lerche. Jr., Dr. Frank H. Jonas, Dr. S. Grov-er Grov-er Rich, Jr., and Col. E. E. Weaver. Weav-er. I , Panel discussions were also presented before the Lions and Rotary clubs, and before teachers of the Iron county schools and ' the Branch Agricultural college faculty. A unified world can be accomplished accom-plished in material things the audience was told. However, the Important jump is changing from a national to an international citizen. A common denominator will have to be found as a basis of construction. Sponsors of the panel were the University of Utah Extension Di-vision, Di-vision, the Government Institute, the Cedar City adult education committee, and the UNESCO committee. |
