Show Murdock Charges Republican Party Has No Program, Speaking at the first Democratic rally of the current political campaign cam-paign in Cedar City Tuesday, Senator Sen-ator Abe Murdock and Representative Representa-tive Walter K. Granger praised the record of the Democratic party and charged that their Republican opponents op-ponents have no program accept the "worn out do nothing" policy. Mr. Murdock praised particularly the Democratic farm program and the generous handling of veterans affairs, and pledged his continued support of these programs If he is returned to the Senate. Mr. Granger pointed out that the Geneva steel plant represents an Investment nearly as great as the entire assessed valuation of the state, and maintained that its influence in-fluence for employment will be felt In every county in the state. He asserted that "bringing of the steel Industry to Utah by our united efforts ef-forts Is the reallatlon of the dream of the pioneers who attempted to establish an Iron Industry In this county." |
