Troop No. 333 of the First and Fifth Wards, with Arthur Bruhn as Scoutmaster, won first place honors, hon-ors, with S2 percent of its membership member-ship partlc.pating and. winnimj four first places, tying for first in another event, and adding a second sec-ond and four thirds to their list. Troop No. 334 of the Second Ward with Verne Frame as Scoutmaster, was second with 50 percent participation, partici-pation, and wlnntnj two firsts, tle-ing tle-ing for another, and getting five second and three third places. Troop No. 335, a newly organized troop from the Third Ward with Cal Robb as Scoutmaster, won first and second sec-ond In the fire by friction contest, and had 61 percent participation. The First and Fifth Ward Troop tied with the Second Ward In the marching' contest, and took first place in knot tying, flrkt aid, compass com-pass relay, and cooking; won second sec-ond and third In signaling, and third place in fire by friction and the three-legzed race, to win first place at the Jamboree. The Second Ward' Troop won second sec-ond place with Its tie for first in marching, first in signaling, first and second in the three-legged race, second in cooking, and second and third in knot tying, first aid and compass relay. The Jamboree was under the direction di-rection of Scout Commissioner Newell F. Wasden, assisted by W. Thell Gubler, District Executive. Other Scouters attending, besides the Scout Meters, were Lancll Lunt, Parson U. Webster, Albert Albert-snn Albert-snn and Gordon Williams. |
