Show Club Ladies Hear ! Talk On Bushnell Hospital Activities 1 Members of the H. H. Club en-Joyed en-Joyed a most Interesting discussion of conditions at the Bushnell Army hospital Thursday when they met at the home of Mrs. Glen Froyd. Mrs. Ha Bauer, who recently spent some time working at the Bushnell 'Hospital as a Nurses Aide, told of her experiences while at the hos-'pltal. hos-'pltal. She worked la the amputation jward and stated that the cheer -I fullness of the men in the ward, 'men who had given legs or arms j should make civilians ashamed of themselves for complaining about the few inconveniences or "hardships" "hard-ships" they are faced with. She stated that the greatest worry of these men is what their relatives and friends will think of them when they return to their homes. Their greatest, and only real dread of the future, she safd, is their return to their homes. They fear that they will not be accepted back into their former place In society and community com-munity life, and they worry a great deal, particularly the married men about whetred or not their wives 'will "want them back" with. lg !or arms missing. |
