Show B.A.C. Selected For Naval V-l Training Program The Branch Agricultural College lias been named as one of the schools at which reserve officers for the Navy will be trained. The Navy's present v"-7 program for training these officers will be terminated, after af-ter which applicants will be taken Into Class V-7 only through the V-l accedlted college program. Under this program college freshmen fresh-men and sophomores are enlisted as Apprentice Seamen in the U. S. Naval Reserve. They will be placed In an Inactive duty status and bo allowed to continue their college education at their own expense, at least until the end of their second year and perhaps until they receive their bachelor's degree. A number of the men enlisted In the class will be selected each year for further training leading to commissions as Ensigns in the Naval Reserve. |
