Show James Maxwell Dies Of Heart Ailment James B. Maxwell, 71, prominent stockman of Glendale, a former resident re-sident of Cedar, died at the Iron County hospital Monday from a heart ailment, following an operation. opera-tion. Funeral services are being held in Glendale this afternoon, and burial will be made there. The deceased de-ceased had been a prominent rancher ranch-er of Glendale for many years. Mr. Maxwell was born In Spring Valley, Lincoln County, Nevada, on June 23. 1870, a son of James B. and Elizabeth Degraw Maxwell. He married Elizabeth C. Anderson oS Olendale on January 5. 1892, After living in Kanab, and Junction for a number of years, they moved to Cedar City In 1924 and remained here until 1935, when they moved to Glendale. He is survived by his widow, of Glendale and 10 sons and daughters, James L. and Horace William Maxwell, Max-well, Glendale; Mrs. Vera Oibsoa, John A., and Rex D. Maxwell, Cedar City; Merrill Maxwell, Toquervllle; Mrs. R. L. McGookln, Honolulu, T. H.; Mrs. C. T. Miller. Yakima, Wash.; Mrs. Wilson Lund, Para-gonah Para-gonah and Miss Lucille Maxwell Santa Monica, California; two brothers and a sister. William Bailey Maxwell, Mesa, Ariz.; Chrales B. Maxwell, Cedar City; Mrs. Ruth Foote, Safford, Ariz.; the following half brothers and sisters, J. L. Maxwell, Max-well, Eden, Idaho; Eugene Maxwell, Paul, Idaho; Mrs. J. L. Everett, Lovell, Wyo., and Mrs. Oscar Jolm-son, Jolm-son, Blandlng; 31 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. |
