Show Co-eds To Attend Salt Lake Festival Twenty-two girls of the B. A. C. Home Economics Club have earned earn-ed the right to make the annual trip to the State Home Economics Club Festival in Salt Lake City, April 18. The girls eligibility Is determined de-termined on a basis of participation participa-tion In the Club's activities. Friday evening the girls will visit the educational furniture exhibits planned by Salt Lake stores as part of their Furniture Show Week. Election El-ection of state officers for 1942-43 will be conducted Saturday morning. morn-ing. This year's president, Carmen Croft, Is the second B.A.C. Home Economics major to have been selected sel-ected for this office. Following registration reg-istration early Saturday morning, a general session for all Junior high, high school and college groups represented re-presented at the convention will be held. Departmental sessions will follow. The B.A.C. Club will be represented represent-ed by Irene Parker, Club president, in a panel discussion of "Ways the College Home Economics Girl Can Fit Into the Present War Picture." A noon luncheon and Fashion Show will be held at the Hotel Utah at which Iris Beatty, Ruth Clark, Beth Corry and Lucy Hess will model dresses they have made. In the afternoon the girls will be guests of Mrs. Herbert B. Maw at a tea at the Governor's Mansion. The girls will leave Friday morning morn-ing accompanied by the club advisor, ad-visor, Miss Frances Elva Knott, and Dean Grace Hawkes. The girls who are eligible for the trip are; Irene Parker, Dorothy Bradshaw, Elizabeth Manning, Anna An-na Jean Armstrong, LUlie Foster, June Fidel, Ruth Clark, Lis Beatty. Beat-ty. Clay Childs, Margaret Hoyle, Maurlne Banks, Marian Graff, Beth Corry, Joyce Christenscn, Bertha Ashby, Oeneol Hallows, Helen Clirls-tensen, Clirls-tensen, Clara Jean Nelson, Carol Sargent, Alton Rowley and Julia Whitney. |
