Show The Fly Control Committee Reports Frank Milne, chairman of the Jr. Chamber of Commerce Fly Control Con-trol Committee reports that dur-ng dur-ng the week many corrals and yards have been sprayed with D. D. T. as a fly preventative measure. Mast of the corrals visit.d were thoroughly thorough-ly cleaned and ready for the spray but a few were not. It can not be stressed too much that DDT. In itself can't eradicate the fly if corrals cor-rals are allowed to remain full of breeding places. The maps in the window of Hunter Hun-ter Haraware showing unsprajea corrals have caused much, comment. com-ment. As Is sure to happen on sucn a large project, mistakes have been made in showing correct location and own.rshlp of corrals. Tlitse maps were prepared by students oi the schools and It would be appreciated ap-preciated if anyone that ltnds an error would please report It so thut necessary adjustment might b made. As soon as corrals are clean, ed and sprayed a gre.n pin will be substituted for the red one now showing. The exp use of such a project l, going to be enoimous and can't be paid entirely by the Jr. Chamber Club or even the city. In tlie future fut-ure property ov..,ers will be asked to pay for the D. D. T. used on their pr.mi&c but there will continue con-tinue to be 1.0 charge made for the labor and tquipmcnt used. Everyone urged to spray theli awn chicken coop, outside privies, etc. with DDT. and call on th Fly Control Commut e for the larger lar-ger jobs. It Is ncl i he purpose of thb committee to act as Judge or police dept. on his fellow citiz' ns as to the cleanliness of their property. but mealy to be an assistant to help, tho'c who desire to rid then property of those dnndrd flies. A few clean and sprayed corrals will n it solve the fly problem. Every jne must assume their share of tin responsibilities and all clean and spray. Clean up and call Frank Milne and his Jr. Chamber Flj Control Committee to-day I |
