Show Utah Asks For 100 Volunteers For Women's Army Corps To meet the nation's need for an enlarged Women's Army Corps, which in return will release nearly 200.000 soldiers to active duty, Utah must enroll approximately 100 women between 20 and 50 years of age, who have no children under 14 years of age. Governor Herbert B. Maw has announced. To meet this demand upon the state, he has named Ames K. Bagley of Salt lake City, as chairman of a volunteer volun-teer civilian recruiting committee. Apixlntments to the committee Include: Mrs. J. C. Cardall, Logan; C. N. Woods. Ogden; W. Bennle Degn. Logan; C. A. Grant, Provo; Frank O. Fister, Geneva; L. A. Christensen, Copperton; R. Theo Westrlng. Nephi; H. P. Cannon, Mldva'e; R. N. Daly. Pangulteh; and Mrs. Maud N. Leaver, Mrs. Heber C. Brlmlcy, Dan M. Whelan, Clem S. Schramm, and Stephen J. Moloney of Salt Lake City. Quotas assigned the counties, to be reached by December 7, the anniversary an-niversary of the tragedy of Pearl Harbor, include: Beaver 1. Box Elder El-der 3. A contingent of girls from Utah, mainly from Salt Lake and Weber counties left for training parly this week. the All-States campaign being be-ing conducted by WAC" declared Lt. Helen Kooles. commander of the WAC detachment In Utah and head of the recruiting drive, "women enlisted during the drive will farm state units and will remain re-main together all through their basic training at Ft. Des Moines. Iowa, and will be assigned to duty together wherever that Is exped't lous or possible.
