Show Death Claims Young: Cedar City .Matron Friday Mrs. Yert.a Oower Douglas, 32, died a. the home of her parents, M. and Mrs. John C. Mrs. Douglas was born in Cedar Ci y on De. ember 2, 1910, and siH-nt he: entire l.fe here. She was married mar-ried to Eminett Houston Douglas of California in May, 1930, her hus band lu.ving teen killed on uecem-ber uecem-ber 5, 1942 while drilling a well in Cedar Valley. Stie is survived by her pa"en:s, two children, Geialdine, 8. and Paul, 4, and the following sisters: Mrs. Nadine Daly and Harriet Gower of SaL Lake C.ty; Mrs. Belle Davis, Kanarra; Mrs. Mildred Mild-red Reese. Tacoma. Washington; and Llona and Joan Gower of Cedar City. Fune id services were held Tuesday Tues-day afternoon in the Cedar City L. D. S. Third Ward chapel wiih Bishop J. Clair Piatt of the Fourth Ward presiding. Speakers included Gustive O. Larson and S-imuel F. Leigh, while musical numbers were as folic ws: two selections, "I Know That My Redeemer Lives", and "Where Jesus Lives", by a ladies' trio composul of Mrs. Annette Betensrn, Mrs. Miriam Luke, Mrs. Elf.ine Sou hwick, Mrs. Maude Hal-versen, Hal-versen, and Mrs. Hael Granger, a:' oiv. anii'd on the r.iano by Mrs. Beindla Jenes; a vocal solo, "In the O.i den of Tunoirow", by Her-schel Her-schel Neeley. accompanied by his daughter. Miss Shirley Neeley; and a violin solo by Roy Halversen, ac-companed ac-companed by Mrs. Virginia Larson. The owning prayer was offered by William C. Condie, and benediction benedic-tion was pronounced by James Fisher. Fish-er. Jo.M'ph B. Dalley dedicated the grave. |
