Show I Junior Chamber Officers Outline Activity Program The new officers of the Junior Chamber of Commerce at their first official meeting Monday night made plans to conduct a membership drive, to participate in a Red Cross first aid training program, appointed appoint-ed new committees and a new treasurer. treas-urer. Allen E. Kolb, field representative of the Red Cross, met with the officers of-ficers to discuss the first aid training train-ing course, which will be started here soon, and the Junior Chamber officials agreed to support the program pro-gram and will solicit the cooperation coopera-tion of school bus drivers, fire department de-partment volunteers and others in taking the course to be offered. The annual membership drive wtil start on Monday, March 3, with Theo Corry in charge. Mr. Corry will organize membership team?, and the drive will be conducted on a competitive basis. Rodney Egan. who has been elected elec-ted as treasurer of the organization, submitted his resignation because he expects to leave Cedar City be-' fore the year is out. The resignation resigna-tion was accepted and Rolce Knight was elected to fill the vacancy. Dr. L, V. Broadbent was nameJ as chairman of the Health committee, commit-tee, and was authorized to select his own committee. The four past presidents of the organization, D. C. Dlx, Thomas B. Cardon, Ernest Macfarlane and Dr. John Beal, were named as a committee com-mittee to revlsa the constitution and by-laws of the organization In order to have them conform more nearly to the constitution of the state organization. |
