Show National Defense N. Y. A. Program To Be Expanded Under the new National Defense N. y. A. program at least four new courses will be started in Cedar City early next week. The courses will include sheet metal work, body and fender work, business practice, and sewing. The sheet metal course will probably be given at one of the shops In town while the other courses wil be conducted at the high school building. The courses are for young .people between the ages of 17 to 25 years, but are not inteded for people who are attending school at the present time. The teachers will be selected from those having good training experience, and the courses will be conducted on a cooperative basis between community and school. This program Is undertaken in connection with a nation - wide movement on the part of the federal fed-eral government to better prepare all youth of the country for future endeavor or emergencies. Any other course desired by ten or more people will be arranged if the equipment Is available for Instruction In-struction in the field.
