Show Correspondence KANARRAVILLE. Kanarraville, Utah, April 28, 1915. Last Monday evening a girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Parker, Jr. Mother and child doing fine. Joseph Aldous is planting quite n large acreage of milo maze. Had he got it all planted before tho present storm, his chances would have been good for harvesting a largo crop. The 80 acre tract of land adjoining James Berry's farm on the south is now all plowed and about half of it is already planted to corn and the balance bal-ance will be planted within tho next week. This is tho tract recently acquired ac-quired by Dr. A. N. Leonard of Cedar City. Tonight a pnrty or progrnm is being be-ing held in honor of Dolph Andrus, the principal of our schools. Mr. Andrews An-drews is richly deserving of this mark of respect. He has been teaching here for three years now, during which time he has promoted a number of public benefits including a silver band, stimulated and encouraged the people peo-ple to the extent that a coupon was secured during the voting contest conducted con-ducted by the Cedar Mercantile & Live Stock company and The Recoid, which with $100 cash obtained tho piano pi-ano now in use in our dance hall, and in many other ways has merited the confidence and gratitude of the people peo-ple here. He informs us that he has accepted a position in the schools at Bluff, Utah, for next winter. |
