Show DONT COMPETE WITH YOUR UNCLE SAMUEL "Don't enter into competition with Uncle Sam" is a valuable bit of advice ad-vice offered by Dr. F. S. Harris, Director Di-rector of the Experiment Station of the Utali Agricultural College. Every Ev-ery time we buy a suit of clothes that we don't need, every time wo purchase an extra pair of shoos, every ev-ery time we pjet any unnecessary article, arti-cle, we are competing with the Government, Gov-ernment, according to Dr. Harris. The reason is plnin. Every bit of labor that is used to make something for you that you don't need is just so much labor taken from useful prj-duction prj-duction that Uncle Ham needs. Every bit of material you buy for which you have no immediate use is just so much material taken from the soldiers who need it now. Buy only for your present needs. Don't keep an extra pair of shoes in your shoe box when some soldier is likely without. It is not only patriotism, patriot-ism, but also economy to wear your old suit a few weeks longer, Don't compete with Uncle Ram. a |
