Show PAROWAN Parowan, Utah, Dec. 18, till i. William BettridgS has recently purchased pur-chased a Ford car. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Butler of Lund were registered at the Hotel Pox last Sunday. Sfe Jf Glen Rigler, G. L. Burton and C. L. I'inder are home again after a week's vacation in the metropolis. Mnyhew H. Dalley of Cedar City is spending a few days at the Court House, finishing up some abstracting. Eddie Matheson returned home Wednesday evening from Idaho where he has been employed in the sugar factory. James Benaoa, manager of the Parowan Par-owan Equitable Co-op., and Bishop Hans J. Mortensen have purchased; Dodge cars this week. Mrs. Let tie R. Dalley of Summit is spending a few days in Parowan, taking tak-ing treatment from n chiropractor who has recently located here. Frank Mortensen is at home airnin after several weeks absence in Idaho Falls, I,ogan and Salt Lake City. Frank says be is always glad to come back to Parowan. A few days ago Mrs. William Ret-tridge Ret-tridge disposed of her holdings at Rush Lake, some 7,'!!l acres,-with water wat-er right, J. Henry Gurr nnd Thomas Davenport being the purchasers. James E. Gurr, forest ranger on the Sevier National Forest, has gone to Ogden where he has a position in the office of the Forest Service. In the spring Mr. Gurr will return here. William C. Mitchell has gone to Oklahoma nnd while there will attend the nnnual Short Horn Breeders' Association As-sociation convention. He will bring home with him n car load of the fa-moss fa-moss registered Short Horns. Mr. and Mrs. Simon A. Matheson are rejoicing over the arrival of another an-other grand daughter at the home of Mrs. Maud Richards, their daughter. Mother and child doing nicely and Charles is wearing that broad smile which never wears off. Mrs. Flossie HutchingS and children of Swan Lake, Idaho, are here to spend the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Benson, They were accompanied home by a sister, Miss Bowena Benson, who has been visiting with Mrs. Hatchings for several sev-eral weeks. fffc The Bank of Iron County held its i regular annual stockholders' meeting 'Monday afternoon, declaring n dividend divi-dend of 10' on capital stock. The i same board of directors was retained, The financial statement iriven by the cashier, J. Clayton Mitchell, shows the bank to be in a flourishing condition. con-dition. The Commercial club met Tuesday evening and elected officers for the coming year, as follows: President. Edward A. Burton; vice-president, Lucius N.
