Thorley as the owner t one of tin largest farms in this end of the ltt The tract as it now .tands COV61 little over 2300 acres. w w. Roundy was tlv other party par-ty to the transaction. This farm now has an area seven times as great as l farmed by the inhabitants of Hamilton's Fort, and half as much again water as the town of Kanarra uses. There are three areas in the state of Utah with a twenty inch rainfall. This farm lies in the Harmony district, dis-trict, which is one of them. Mr. Thorley previously owned and has been breaking to cultivation a large portion of this farm, and from now on rapid developments in an ag-ricultural ag-ricultural lino may bo ixpoctod from that quarter. This tract should furnish fur-nish labor and support for quite a little tonmunity of its own. it is situated about twenty miles from this city. The sum involved in the Roundy transaction was $7,000. |
