Notice is hereby given that Don Skougard, whose post office address is Parowan, Utah, has made application in accordance with the requirements of the Compiled Laws of Utah, 1907, as amended by the Session Laws of Utah, 1909 and 1911, to appropriate appro-priate one four-hundred-fiftieth (1-450) of a cubic foot of water per second from a seep in Iron County, Utah. Said seep is situated at a point which lies 990 feet south and 2904 feet west of the northeast corner of Section Sec-tion 15, Township 32 south, Range 10 west, Salt Lako .base and meridian. The water will be used during the period from January 1 to December 31, inclusive, in-clusive, of each year, at the place where it issues from said seep for stock watering purposes. This application is designated in tho State Engineer's office as No. 4509. All protests against the granting grant-ing of said application, stating the reasons therefor, must be made by affidavit in duplicate and filed in this office within thirty (30) days after the completion com-pletion of the publication of this notice. Dr. S. H. Allen of Salt Lake City, accompanied by a Miss Walker, trained nurse, is in the city for the purpose of performing perform-ing a number of operations at the Southern Utah hospital. Among those to be operated upon up-on are, David Haight, for gastric gas-tric ulcer, Miss Minnie Stevens for gall bladder trouble, and James Parry for appendicitis. The case of the city vs. C. D. Burkholder was called in the city court Saturday afternoon. The defendant pleaded guilty and l was fined $75, which he paid. The city attorney made a statement state-ment to the court in which he asked for leniency for the defendant de-fendant owing to the city being saved the expense of a trial. In the case of the city vs. Ed. Wink, trial was had and non-suit granted by the court because of a technicality in the complaint. |
