Nelson, State Superintendent of Public Instruction advises the members of the School Board at Cedar City, Utah, that teachers to be eligible to enter the County teachers examination as applicants appli-cants for certificates must have acquired a four year hitfh school education or at least three years teaching experience. Persons without these qualifications can not enter the examination and secure valid certificates. The State Board of education has made no provisions for the issuance issu-ance of temporary certificates. The teachers examination v. ill be held in the several Counties of the State some time in June; and it is urged that all teachers not holding certificates take this examination as a special examination exam-ination held after the regular examination ex-amination will probably be expensive ex-pensive to the teacher.
