Tarbet of Salt Lake has returned re-turned to his home. -i- W. W. McCaskle, a well known mining min-ing man of Pony, is in the city. He says there is no sign of the big quartz mill starting up, but the company is doing a great deal of development work on its mines. Fortune has come to a Butte newspaper newspa-per man. Charles Deigleman, a reporter who has lived and worked in Butte for about eighteen months, has fallen heir to a fortune of $40,000, according to reports re-ports which have been received in the city from California., .... A son which was born to W. A. Clark, jr., on Monday, probably comes into the world the richest child born in this i country. Some time ago Senator W. A. Clark offered to give $1,000,000 to whichever which-ever of his children should first present him with a grandson. His daughter, Mrs. Morris, of New York City, about a year ago gave birth to a child, which 'Was a girl. This is the first boy baby born In the family. ! Senator Clark, who is in Paris, has been cabled the news. |
