Show CHEYENNE, WYO. Mrs. Harriet Hibbard and daughter, Mrs. Nellie Stoll of Denver, are the guests of Mrs. Hibbard's sister, Mrs. Emma Nagle. J. H. Scott, formerly proprietor of the Inter Ocean hotel, and Mrs. Scott will remain in Cheyenne for several days. They are en route from British Columbia Colum-bia to New York for a visit. One of the coming musical events is the concert to be given on Nov. 27. by the Cheyenne Turn Verein and the Fort Russell band at Turner hall. Some of the best-talent in the city will take part. ' Father Maddox of the Redemptors order was a visitor in Cheyenne last week, en route from San Francisco to St. Louis. Father Maddox will prob-I prob-I ably return to Cheyenne later. The Hammond - Packing company, owning a small packing plant southwest south-west of Cheyenne, has commenced improvements im-provements which will cost approxi- matelv Xnfl finn TTip n-nrk io iin.o,. iY,a supervision 'of A.- W. Winters of Chicago, Chi-cago, and the.first'carload of .machinery .machin-ery is now being; installed. The improvements im-provements will consist of an office building, ice plant,' engine house and cold storage ' warehouse, also enlarged pens and a spacious slaughter house. The. capacity of the plant when enlarged en-larged will be 1,000 hoks or 400 head of cattle a day. A tin shop, where lard pails, etc., will be manufactured, may be added. When the improvements are completed between 100 and 200 men will be constantly employed. . |
