Show . Forty Hours' Adoration. The ceremony of the forty hours' adoration ado-ration was started in St. Joseph's church in South Butte Sunday morning at 10:30. The decorations and arrangements were perfect, t and the church was packed to the doors. The altar was profusely pro-fusely decorated with flowers, and the Blessed Sacrament was exposed in the glow of hundreds of candles. Father Quesnel officiated, and opened the ceremony cere-mony of adoration at 10:30 with high mass. In solemn procession the Blessed Sacrament was carried to the altar under un-der a rich canopy of moire antique, trimmed with gold, which was worked with various religious designs and presented pre-sented by the ladies of the congregation. congrega-tion. The canopy was carried by M. G. Kelly, G. Ducharme, A. Guay and Dennis Den-nis Coleman, and was preceded by Guy Moffat and Fred Getke, and followed by Dan Brogan and Donat Graton bearing bear-ing the procession torches. Nelly King, Mary Whitmore, Julia j Popish, Agita Kelly, Delina Chouinard, j Antoinette. Graton, Aurora Trottier, j Mary- McBride, Alice Quinet, Ella Burns, Annie. SieVers and Gertrude Shea were prettily decorated with j flowers, with wreaths around their head.-?, and carried baskets from which they threw flowers during the procession in honor of the Blessed Sacrament. Special efforts were made by Miss Cosgrove, leader of the choir, to provide pro-vide fine music for the ceremony, and the choir, composed of Miss Kate Cos-grove, Cos-grove, Miss McMillan. The subject was "The Real Presence of God in the Blessed-Sacrament." and was a most forcible sermon. Edward Lynch of Everett, Wash., who has been the guest of his brother, James H. Lynch, for the past few days, returned to his home on Friday. ! Hon. Edward Ryan of Boulder valley, and one of Montana's old timers, is visiting Butte. Mr. Ryan was chairman chair-man of the county commissioners of Jefferson county some years ago. . & Mrs. Margaret Cunningham arrived in Butte on Sunday from, a delightful visit with friends in Missouri and Wisconsin.
