Show KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS. Initiation and Banquet Make Up Great Day for Salt Lake Council. The Boise oouncil No. S09 of the Knights of Columbus held -initiatory ceremonies in the lodge rooms in the Odd Fellows', hall, putting a class of eighteen candidates through three degrees de-grees and afterward serving a banquet. , The first and second degree work was put on by the local officers, including in-cluding C. Moore Passmoore, grand knight; John M. Regan, deputy grand knight; Nicholas Villeneuve, chancellor, chancel-lor, and Frank J. Roosfies, warden. The third degree was conferred by Jess B. Hawley, state deputy, assisted by Joseph Kelleher and Herbert Lang-don Lang-don of Pocatello. Those upon whom degrees were conferred con-ferred were: Joseph Gagnon, Hermi-das Hermi-das Villeneuve. J. T. Carrigan, Charles B. Burdell and Daniel II. Flahiff of Nampa; Frank B. Donivan. Neal; John P. Erpelding. Emmett: Patrick Mc-Minn, Mc-Minn, Patrick H. Quirk. Nicholas Ei-den. Ei-den. Albert Eiden, Albert E. Shepherd, Justin S.Butltr, John J. Keane, Thomas Thom-as A. Edwards. Walter H. Herman and Fred Seh wendinger, Boise. Immediately following the initiatory work, a bounteous banquet was served. Reilly Atkinson acting at toastmaster and responses being made by Hergert Langdon of Pocatello. R. S. Sheridan, Jess Hawley. Captain Gunn. John M. Regan and James Hawley of the Turner Tur-ner company. The candidates who had successfully passed through the trying crdeal and obtained the rank of full fledged knights, together with many visiting knights and members of the local council, participated in the festivities fes-tivities following the work. The local council is rapidly advancing in point of numbers, and it is anticipated that by next spring a larger class of candidates will be secured for the initiatory exercises. ex-ercises.
