Show MOSCOW, IDA. (Special Correspondence.) Father Hendricks, the persevering and zealous pastor of Moscow, erected some time ago in his parish a beautiful and commodious convent and school combined. This academy and parochial school he has entrusted to the care of the Ursuline nuns, whose institution is already liberally patronized by day pupils pu-pils and internes. When the good priest was collecting for' his school building he was greatly encouraged by the generosity gen-erosity of his Protestant fellow citizens. The mission at Potlach, organized by Father Hednricks two years ago, is now erected into a parish, with the Rev. A. Kolk as pastor. Father Hendricks Hen-dricks is now practically separated from remote mission work, and the Catholics of Moscow will henceforth enjoy the exclusive attention of this admirable and pious priest. An academy and parochial school has been opened at Moscow by the Ursuline Ursu-line nuns. This will give the Catholic parents of that section the advantage of having their children educated In a Catholic Institution. The spirit of the Catholic settlers in the west is constantly con-stantly being shown in such beneficial movements as this, and in time Catholic Catho-lic schools, academies and colleges will be found in as large numbers, and as proficient in learning, in the west as they are today in any other section of the country. |
