Show ( HELENA, MONT. ( The Catholic Ladles' Literary and Benevolent society will serve meals (the real home-cooked kind) for the benefit of the orphans of St. Joseph's Orphans' home, Monday evening, Nov. 2, and Tuesday, Nov. 3, election day, over Winter's cash store, second floor, on North Main street, just below Sixth avenue. All the politicians who And time to eat on election day will get a square meal here. A pound party will also be given in connection with the dinner, for which everybody is invited to contribute their pounds liberally. Donations may be left at any time after Monday morning. Excavations on the site for the new Catholic college wllf begin next week. Bishop Carroll returned Monday from St. Paul, where he completed the deal with J. J. Hill for the tract which, with the Hauser tract, is to be used -for the campus of the university, which will be the greatest in the west, and it is hoped to make it equal to any in the country.
