The ceremony of the profession of a nun took place at the Convent of Per-petaul Per-petaul Adoration, Wexford, recently, when Miss Mary Ryan, youngest daughter of Mr. Robert- Ryan, Bally- morris, received the habit at the hands of the Most Rev. the Lord Bishop of Fern. Limerick. A marriage has been arranged and will shortly take place between Nigel Baring, great-grandson of Sir Thomas Baring, second baronet, and the Hon. Sybil Roche, only , child of Lord and Lady Fermoy of Rockbarton. The marriage arranged between Henry C. Pearson, eldest son of Thomas Thom-as Henry Gibbons Pearson of Shakespeare Shakes-peare road, Bedford, and Emily Leahy, eldest daughter of William Leahy of Llckadoon, Limerick, will take place at Knockea church, Limerick, on Oct. 29th. Londonderry. The death has occurred at his residence, resi-dence, Rock House, Portstewart, of Mr. James McKnight Warner, who was inspector of national schools and had retired. The deceased had a distinguished course in Trinity college, Dublin, having been ex-exhibitioner, scholar and senior moderator. The death is deeply regretted of Mrs. Eardley, wife of Mr. F. Fardley, who for several years filled the office of head inspector of national schools in the Derry district. Mrs. Eardley, during the years of her residence in the city, made many friends by her qualities of head and heart. She is survived by two sons, the Rev. John Eardley, P. P., and the Rev. Charles Eardley, C. C. Wexford. A prominent townsman in New Ross has passed away in the person of Mr. James Galavan, J. P., whose death is very much regretted in the district,. Wicklow. The death took place at Arklow recently re-cently at the Convent of Mercy of the Rev. Mother Mary Ursula Tynan. |
