The regular meeting will be held at St Mary's academy in the afternoon at 3 o'clock. Masses are said at 8, 9 and 11 o'clock. The Junior choir will sing at 9 and 11 o'clock during the summer months, different members singing in turn each Sunday. ' Contraj-y to reports, the rehearsals for the Junior choir will continue all summer. sum-mer. Parents can use their own judgment judg-ment about, sending the children when the days are warm, but the rehearsals are conducted in the basement hall of the Bishop's residence and a cooler spot cannot be found in the city. The little folks really enjoy the short practice held every Saturday. The young ladies of the choir have decided not to have any vacation, either, eith-er, so they will still continue their work with the zeal " and faithfulness that has always been characteristic of them. f The members of the St. Ann's Sewing Sew-ing guild have discontinued the meetings meet-ings for the summer and will resume their good work in the fall. The ladies spent the day at Saltair on Wednesday and had an enjoyable time. 4 The baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Seidenfaden was baptized last Sunday. The little one was named Elsie El-sie Ligourieaux, and the sponsors were Mr. and Mrs. U. V. Duguet. . f- The bountiful lunch served to the children on Wednesday was donated cheerfully by prominent ladies and gentlemen of the cathedral parish. Over S00 sandwiches, twenty gallons of ice cream, five barrels of lemonade, 100 loaves of bread and sixty pounds of candy quickly disappeared, to the great satisfaction (and perhaps a little dismay) of those in charge. Hal-loran, Hal-loran, a case of lemons from William Rash of the Rash Produce house, a sack of hams from Joseph Geoghegan, while the ice cream was donated by Mrs. Judge, Mrs. Salisbury, " Mrs. Thomas Kearns and Bishop Scanlan. H. C. Monter of the Atlantic' Tea company followed his usual custom of donating all the bread required. Rt. Rev. Bishop Scanlan, Rev. Father Fa-ther Kiely and those in charge of the excursion wish to express their sincere thanks to the officials of the road, to George Derr, to Manager Langford and all the staff of Saltair employes for the great kindness shown to the children chil-dren and for the many courtesies , shown to the Sisters and ' the ladies j who served the lunch.' Too much gratitude grat-itude cannot be expressed to Charles Auer for his generosity to the chil-' dren. The four barrels of lemonade . w ere given by him. while his able as-' as-' sistant. J. J. McPhee, worked untiringly untir-ingly to make the little guests happy. The cheers given for Mr. Auer and his able staff were certainly sincere as well as noisy. The ladie in charge will never forget the many kindnesses received from him all during the long busy day.
