Show Fatal Accident to H. G. Button. Herbert G. Button, the well known contractor and builder of this city, was instantly killed by a cave-in at the West Honerine mine at Stockton last Sunday. The news of the fatality reached Salt iLake from Stockton at 7 o'clock in the evening, and O'Donnell & Co.. brought the body to the city. The accident occurred in one of the stopes of the West Honerine. H. G. Button was a native of New York, but had resided in Salt Lake for twelve years. He came here from Wichita, after a three years' residence at that place, having gone to Kansas direct from his old New York home. For a number of years after his arrival here Mr. Button was quite prominent in politics, and at one time was chairman chair-man of the Republican city committee. He was also a member of the Constitutional Constitu-tional convention. His business has always al-ways been that of a contractor and builder, and he enjoyed the confidence and esteem of -a wide circle of friends and acquaintances.- .
