Show SALT LAKE CATHEDRAL NOTES. Airs. K. Viko and Mrs. J. J. Parrel I are the ladies appointed to attend to the iUtars this week. I Miss Owen sang the offertory at St. ilary's lust Sunday. ; Miss Harii Fafek will sing an "O S.iiutai is." by Hordese, for the offertory offer-tory next Sunday at the 11 o'clock Mass. Miss Miiiy Jenkinson. Miss Poseiuary Holland and Miss Kuby Daniels were the fwppt soloists at the !) o'clock Mass last Sunday. Miss Floreiue Iv-ke, Miss Clara Fafek Fa-fek and Miss Isabel Higgins were .the tnioists at t he ) o'clock Mass last Sunday. Instructions are given twice a week at the Cathedral for the children who will make their first Holy Communion and receive confirmation next month. Parents are reminded of their duties in regard to sending the children to the instructions. Kev. Father Sciocchetti celebrated Mass at Murray last Sunday at 9 , o'clock. Beautiful music was rendered by Miss Lottie Chantron and several I other youiiK girls, with Miss Stratton, I a talented musician, presiding at -the I organ. I. The laying (if the stone, which is now being rushed, in the towers of the cathedral, ca-thedral, will soon be commenced. W hen completed they will add one hundred feet o their present height. f Fathers oiioher and Jlosswinael. two Jesuit Fathers, remained over in the city dining the week. They were go-iugto go-iugto Montana to give a mission. Whilst in the city they were guests at the Hospital of the Holy Cross. The j new cathedral they pronounced to be the finest and most substantial church edifice in America. The grand, massive mas-sive entrance was in keeping with the entire building, which, with its vertical verti-cal and parallel lines, shows its archi- tectural beauty and solidity.
