Show ARCHBISHOP MOELLER. Succeeds to the Secretaryship of the Catholic Board. The care of Catholic immigrants and the general - welfare of the church was the main question discussed dis-cussed at the annual meeting of the archbishops of the Catholic church which began in Washington, D. C.,.on May 4 Cardinal Gibbons presided. Archbishop Glennon of St. Louis, who was secretary of the board, turned over the affairs of that office lo Archbislvp Moeller, who succeeds to the office. During the day the archbishops held a joint meeting with the trustees of the Catholic university. No statement state-ment regarding the financial condition condi-tion of the university will be made Deforce De-force June. It was announced that more than $250,000 of the institution's funds has beeen invested in railroad bonds fiom April. 1904. to April, 1903. Michael Jenkins of Baltimore has been appointed treasurer of the university, uni-versity, and Charles Bonaparte of Baltimore' Bal-timore' lakes the place on the board made vacant by the resignation of Thomas E. Waggaman, the former treasurer. |
