Show PARK CITY. F. J. McLaughlin, supreme representative represent-ative for Utah division of the A. O. U. W. lodge, and his wife, who is repre- I sentative of the Degree of Honor, A. O. U. W., accompanied by their two ; daughters, left Thursday morning for Chattanooga, Tenn., where the supreme lodge of the order holds its annual convention con-vention on the 15th. Mr. and Mrs. Me- j Laughlin will be away about a month, and on the trip will visit St. Louis and see the fair. . 1 . ' I : Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Towers and children returned from Salt Lake on Wednesday of last week, where they went to spend Decoration day. j 4 ' ! Wendell Cunningham came up from the city Monday and will probably remain re-main all summer. He reports' his father, fa-ther, who was taken from the Comstock mine to a Salt Lake hospital two weeks ago in a very critical condition, as improving im-proving in health slowly. f I Mrs. Harry Waters and her mother, Mrs. J. H.-Murphy, returned from Salt Lake the first of tha week, after a pleasant visit. Mrs. Waters expects to visit two or three weeks longer in the Park before returning to her home in Colorado. I 4 I John Shields made a flying visit to ' Salt Lake cn Saturday afternoon. I 4 I Mr. James Malvey and wife returned ! from an eastern trip Sunday morning. I . ' 1 The following people formed a jolly crowd at the famous Ifot Pots Monday: Mon-day: Misses Watson, Shields, May. Messrs. Malone, Shields, Ward and Dan B. Shields. Miss Lulu Kelly returned Tuesday from Salt Lake, where she had been visiting with friends for a week or so. Miss Minnie Carey left Thursday aft-i aft-i ernoon for New York state, where she will spend the summer months with j relatives. Genevieve O'Connor, daughter of ' James O'Connor, the druggist, spent a couple of days in the Park this week visiting with her father; 1 1 Mrs. F. A. McCarty left . Thursday j afternoon for Wisconsin, where she will 1 fpend the summer visiting' relatives. During her absence Mrs. William Reich will occupy her home on Norfolk avenue. i 4- Assessor Peter Martin was in Coalville Coal-ville this week assisting the county ' commissioners in their work as a board of equalization. The only complaints I were from two of our mining companies , whirh were easily adjusted to the sat isfaction of all concerned. Mrs. M. J. Dailey and children left Thursday morning for O'Neil. Neb , , r where she will visit for some time with j relatives and friends. She will be ; joined later by her husband, and the St Louis fair will be visited by them : before their return. Mr. Dailey has been working very steadily of late and : feels justly-entitledUo a vacation. J ; Cliff Mayne, who is employed in the hardware department of the Welsh. ; Driscoil & Buck establishment, jumped from a ladder at the store last Satur- .; day night and struck on the sharp- , ened end of a pick, receiving a painful wound to his right foot. While he is i able to get around, he is not as yet m , & condition to play ball. 4 V "Jack" Hurley, the genial young f clerk at the Welsh, Driscoil & Buck A establishment, has been very HI for a ; week past, his complaint being chronic j appendicitis. This is the third attack h Jack has experienced. He was taken r, to the Holy Cross hospital in Salt Lake y Tuesday arvl underwent an operation ( a Wednesday.
