Show Irishmen Refuse to Act. Irish actors imported from Dublin refused last Wednesday to give their performance in, the Irish theatre at the World's Fair because the management manage-ment permits caricatures of their race. The capers ca-pers of performers upon the vaudeville boards, gro-tes gro-tes ruing ihe doings of the sons of old Erin, are looked upon by the genuine Irish actors as an insult in-sult to their country. Their positive refusal to appear compelled the dismissal of the audience assembled as-sembled to sec them. |
