Show Announce Marriage Of Linrose Girl To Mink Creek Man Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Bright of Linrose Lin-rose have announced the marriage of their daughter, Venice, to Leon Bell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Bell of Mink Creek. The ceremony was performed in the Logan LDS temple October 2. Both of the young people are graduates of the Preston high school and Mr. Bell has filled a mission in Texas. The Saturday preceding the mar riage, the bride-elect was given a trousseau tea by her mother, and her sister Mrs. Milo Hobbs at the Hobbs home in Preston. Mrs. Bright and the groom's mother, Mrs. Bell, received the one hundred fifty guests who called during the afternoon. The young ladies who assisted in the trousseau trous-seau rooms and serving refreshments refresh-ments were the Misses Rula Bell, Reona Bell, Erma Hobbs, Elvina Jensen and Elna Bright. Others who assisted were Mrs. Lester Sharp, Mrs. Arnold Nelson and Mrs. De-Mar De-Mar Merrill. A color scheme of pink and white added harmony to the occasion. occa-sion. The bride-elect wore a floor-length floor-length gown and a corsage of pink and white flowers. The young ladies la-dies who assisted were attired in formal gowns of pastel colors. The serving table was covered with a lace cloth over pink and was centered with a large bowl ot pink and white asters with pink tapers on either side. The young couple will leave following fol-lowing the ceremony for a wedding trip to Salt Lake. They will return and make their home in Mink Creek. HOSTESS TO RAONA CLUB ON FRIDAY Mrs. George Egbert was hostess to the RaOna club last Friday evening. eve-ning. A three-course dinner was served at the dining room of Paul's cufe after which bridge was played at the home of the hostess. A profusion pro-fusion of autumn blossoms was I laced throughout the house. Prizes Priz-es were won by Mrs. C. M. Crab-tree Crab-tree and Mrs. Lonsdale Roe. Mrs. Ray Merrill and Mrs. Elvin Cutler were special guests. PLEASANTLY SURPRISED AT HOME ON BIRTHDAY Mr. and Mrs. James Cottle were pleasantly surprised at their home Wednesday evening by their children chil-dren and friends. The occasion was Mrs. Cottle's birthday. Music and games furnished the evening's entertainment after which refresh, nients were served. The guests in attendance were Mrs. Cottle's mother Mrs. A. O. Beckstead, Mrs. Mary Thornton, Zan Beckstead, Mr and Mrs. Otto' Peterson, all of Preston; Mr. and Mrs. Archie Peterson and Mrs. Anna Biggs of Franklin; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Johnson and Miss Evelyn Wilding of Richmond, Utah; Mark Bybee of Lewiston, Utah; and Mr. and Mrs: Gilbert Cafferty, Mr. and Mrs. Ornal L. Hyde, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley H. Hyde and Mr. and Mrs. Orval Thomas and daughter, Colleen Col-leen ENTERTAINS IN HONOR OF SISTER FROM HAWAII Mrs. Vanza McClellan entertained entertain-ed last Monday evening in honor of her sister, Mrs. Roy Emery, of Hawaii, who is visiting with her. A three-course dinner was served and the remainder of the evening spent enjoying films of motio picture pic-ture of Hawaii shown by Mrs. Emery. Em-ery. The guests included Mrs. E. E. Cromar of Price, Utah; Miss Dora Henderson, Miss Edith Hill-stead, Hill-stead, Miss Ellen Bell, Mrs. Inette Wilson, Miss Sara Madsen and the guest of honor. |
