Show FUTURE FARMERS OUTLINE PROGRAM A meeting of the five southeastern southeast-ern Idaho F.F.A. Chapters was held in the Preston Chapter Agricultural Agricultur-al room Tuesday, September 30, four of the schools being represented, repre-sented, Malad, Downey, Grace and Preston with Fielding absent. One of the purposes of the meeting was to make up a program of work for the district for the forthcoming school year. The following calendar calen-dar of events was set up and approved ap-proved by the delegates; October 16, Shelley Spud Show; November 2, District seed and livestock judging contest at Preston; Pres-ton; November 15, all distirict dues to be paid; November 15, Ogden Livestock Show; December 1, Un, ion Pacific Scholarship material to be in to the state office; January, District speaking (contest the win. ner to represent this- district at the state contest; February, State Farmer Far-mer candidates material to be in to the state office; March, District basketball tournament; April, State Farmer candidates to be given par. liamentary procedure tests and district dis-trict election of officers for year 1941-42; June, District field day and training of officers school (probably to be held at Lava Hot Springs). A district election resulted In the following being elected to sarve for 1940-41; President, Perry Ipsen, State Farmer from Malad; vice-jnesi-dent, Ross Moser, also representing the Preston Chapter at the National Nation-al Judging contest at Kansas City this fall; secretary, Barlow Gilbert, Preston; treasurer, Frank Olsen, Malad; reporter, Homer Gibson, Grace. Wendell Wiser, past year District Dis-trict president, member of the state executive committee and .State Farmer, presided. |
