Show DELPHIAN SOCIETY HOLDS REGULAR MEETING AT CITY COUNCIL ROOM The Theta Nu chapter of the Delphian Soviety met last Monday at the city council room for their regular session. Mrs. G. C. Kil-gore, Kil-gore, president, presided. .Mrs. Edwin Ed-win Crockett was leader for the day. The "Drama of Three Hectic Revolutionary Years," Mrs .Ezra Foss. Four Y'ears of Modernization, open discussion. Napoleon, conquerer and Statesman, States-man, Mrs'. George Egbert. "Crystal izing the Boons of the Revolution Into Prominence," Mrs. Lynn Hale. Bringing Revolutionary Benefits to Europe," Mrs. Llewellyn Jenkins. Supplementary explanations were given by Mrs. Larry Robinson, Mrs. Kilgore, Mrs. George Egbert, Mrs. Ralph Strub, Mrs. Carlos Clark and Mrs. Lynn Hale. BOO MALIE CLUB ENJOYS NO-HOSTESS PARTY Boo Malie club members enjoyed a no-hostess party last Friday eve ning at the home of Mrs. Inette Wilson. Dinner was served at a long table centered with a large bowl of roses. Bridge followed the dinner and high score was awarded to Miss Zelnora Henderson and the all-cut to Mrs. David McClun. Mrs, Inette Wilson, Mrs. Homer John son and Mrs. Jed Lewis were in charge of general arrangements. DINNER HONORS GEORGE EGBERT ON BIRTHDAY Twelve guests were entertained at a dinner followed by pinochle Saturday evening in honor of Geo. Egbert. The occasion was his birth-iay birth-iay and was given by Mrs. Egbert at their home. The long table was centered with a large bouquet of autumn flowers with a profusion of flowers throughout the rooms. Pinochle Pi-nochle scores were won by Mrs. Lloyd Hogge for the ladies and by R. B. Gibson for the men. LOCAL AUXILIARY HOLS REORGANIZATION At elaborate ceremonies in keeping keep-ing with the customs of the American Amer-ican Legion auxiliary, new officers of the local organization were in. stalled at a meeting held Monday 1 evening at the home of Mrs. Harold Har-old Olsen. Mrs. Frank Day,, the retiring re-tiring president, Mrs. David Daley and Mrs. Joseph Malmberg, retiring retir-ing vice presidents, were replaced by Mrs. Luke Smith, president, Mrs. Joseph Malmberg and Mrs! Fred Sargent as first and second vice presidents. In addition to the installation of the new officers, plans were discussed for a mem bership luncheon to be held in the near future. Refreshments were served by the retiring officers to fourteen members. MAPLETON GIRL WEDS CLEVELAND MAN Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Stone announce the marriage of theii daughter, Geneal to Alfred Walten of Cleveland. They were married in Logan Monday, September 23. A wedding dance will be given 'n honor of Mr. and Mrs. Walten Friday night, October 4 in the Mapleton amusement hall. The mblic is invited. |
