o o i CLARION FOOTBALL CONTEST GOES ON A large entry list was turned in this week as the first weekly football icontest sponsored by the Cache Valley Clarion got underway. under-way. Majority of the fans favored the Preston High Indians to defeat Malad here this week in their first scheduled game of the 1940 Southeastern Idaho football league. Next week will see twelve mort games of local and national importance im-portance for progno3ticators to take a try at. Heading the list will be the starred game between Preston High and American Falls high. The game will take place at American Falls and should prove to be another exciting game. Other tilts include Rocky Mountain, Moun-tain, Pacific Coast, Eastern, Midwestern, Mid-western, and Southern university games. This week's entry blanks must be in the Clarion office by 6 p. m. Thursday, October ID and prizes will remain the same. First place will receive ?2 and a free show ticket, second and third place will receive two show tickets and the next five in order will receive one free show ticket.
