Show Preston Riflemen Return From Camp Perry Shoot Pete Jorgensen and Rex Robin nf Preslon returned last week 1 a three weeks' trip to Camp P" ,-y Ohio, where they enrolled in ,he small Arms Firing School ana anticipated in the annual Camp Pe,.,-y rifle shoot as members of tUe Idaho rifle team. The Idaho rifle squad completed neof its most successful invasion, of the camp as they scored high in five national team matches. In the NWional Service Rifle M-itches the Idaho eight man team look second place in competition with 23 other teams representing 22 states and the District of Columbia. Co-lumbia. In the Runbold Match Idaho fin. isned fifth high and in the Infantry Infan-try team matches Idaho finished eighth defeating the U. S. Marines and losing by only one point to the U. s. Infantry. In the Herrick Match they finished fin-ished in ninth place in competition uith S7 other teams representing state civilian and infantry teams. The other high showing came in the Veteran of Foreign Wars shoot ivien they finished in 17tu place. In the national team match classification clas-sification Idaho's team classified but their exact standing is as yet unknown. Many of the teams rtich annually .compete fail to classify. Leading Idaho's shooters in the individual shoots was Elmer Keith of North Fork. Although he did not win any national honors he, posted a fine score of 360. Pete Jorgensen scored a 347 while Utah's highest man came in with a 346 score. , Mr. Jorgensen announced (that Idaho had a good team with all their shooters pretty well even. Willian Brennan of Nampa served as captain of the team with George Abraham of Nampa as coach. Others participating on the Idaho team besides Preston's two representatives repre-sentatives were V. T. Nelson of Wallace, L. Burnham of Pocatello. Mr. Walterman of Blackfoot, E. Keith of North Fork, George Bar-rus Bar-rus of Idaho Falls, William Stal-der Stal-der of Grace, Mr. Hawkins of Wallace, Wal-lace, Mr. Grey of Nampa, Mr. Nel 4 son, of Pocatello,. and Mr.-Zeal of Nampa. o o Superintendent and Mrs. R.
