Show ! HIGH SCHOOL NOTES I Maurine Riggs, Reporter Sometimes the mail brings something some-thing besides bills, and when good letters do come they come in the form of invitations. One dropped into the high school mail box the other day. You see it was rather an eventful : day at the high school anyway Wasatch Was-atch academy came down to fight our Bulldogs in basketball. So when the invitation came from Mr. Anderson, manager of the Casino- theatre, for ! our team and the visiting team to be his guests at the show, "Eight Girls In a Boat," it was just like putting frosting on a cake. The students were entertained last? week by a moving picture illustrating the sugar and fishing industries. The students have obtained much enjoyment enjoy-ment and benefit from these pictures. We feel that the picture machine has proven to be a real educational asset to our school. Are girls better sports than boys? It looks that way at our high school matinee dances. The matinee dances to date have been rather unsuccessful. Then Miss Smith found a way to bring out the much needed sportsmanship. sports-manship. The plan provel to be a challenge of the girls against the boys in putting over a matinee dance. The girls took first turn, Tuesday, making it a "Leap Year" dance. It was a huge success. It remains to be seen whether the boys will come up to the standard or not. |
