Show i ' LOCAL ITEMS j OF INTEREST j Mrs. Hyrum Fredrickson left for Salt Luke Wednesday morning, having hav-ing been called to the bedside of her son, Oscar Fredrickson. Mr. Fredrick-son Fredrick-son is at a Salt Lake hospital, where he underwent a serious operation Tuesday. Earl Arnold and Tony Viilard were westbound passengers Wednesday afternoon. af-ternoon. They went to Nephi and entrained en-trained for Los Angeles on a bus. Earl will enter U. C. L. A. for the second semester, while Tony will reg-i.-,t-r at Occidental college. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Ballard and daughters spent Sunday at Monroe, the guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. Roland ! Tietjen. I I Mr. and Mrs. Harry Christiansen of Centerfield, are rejoicing over the arrival of a new son, born Monday. Mother and son are doing nicely. Vearl Peterson, the service station operator, spent last Friday and Saturday Sat-urday at Salt Lake. He was taking stock of the new Dodge and Plymouth autos, which he represents in this city. Later MrT Peterson expects to have cars on display at his place of business. busi-ness. Mrs. L. S. Bawden, mother to Mrs. Kimbal Larsen and Mrs. Wesley Dug-gins, Dug-gins, and Mrs. M. M. Duggins, came in from Salt Lake Saturday. After a brief stay the visitors returned north and were accompanied by Mrs. G. M. Kelly, who had spent a few days with her sisters here. m Mrs. L. G. Anderson entertained Tuesday afternoon for twenty-four guests at a luncheon-bridge party. Following the luncheon at one-thirty, progressive bridge was enjoyed. J. E. Garn, district engineer for the state road commission, spent a few hours here Tuesday. He was in conference with the engineers supervising super-vising work on the Gunnison-Levan highway improvement. |
